Abstract: Postural control requires that the Center of Pressure (CoP) be within the perimeter base delimited by the outside of the feet. The gamification (introduction of techniques, elements, and dynamics typical of leisure games) of rehabilitation offers a playful character, favoring adherence to treatment. Virtual Reality (VR), as a gamification technique, allows user-machine interaction in real-time through sight, hearing and touch, stimulating systems that are the object of rehabilitation related to balance.

Objectives
To carry out a bibliographic review analyzing the scientific evidence around the influence of VR on balance.
Material and methods
Exhaustive search for evidence in PubMed, Google Scholar and PEDro databases; keywords: Virtual Reality, Center of Pressure, Balance and Gamification; filters: indexed journal, English or Spanish language, published after 2016. Duplicates were eliminated for critical reading.
Results
167 articles were located, of which 29 met the inclusion criteria; After critical reading, 20 articles were included in the final review. Alteration of balance and motor control predisposes to falling and its rehabilitation can provide selective training of muscle groups and greater stability. The evidence analyzing VR shows positive feedback directly influencing the user's CoP. The dopaminergic stimulus generated could stimulate brain plasticity. With VR as a gamification instrument, patients are more comfortable during rehabilitation, presenting greater adherence to treatment, resulting in greater effectiveness of rehabilitation programs.
Discussion/Conclusions
VR is a game experience, which participates in the development of activities, which would allow better results of balance rehabilitation by having dopaminergic effects and stimulating brain plasticity and adherence. More experimental studies are required to confirm the existing evidence, both in healthy people and in balance disorders.
