Abstract: Dyspareunia is one of the most prevalent sexual dysfunctions in women. Prevalence data in Europe ranges between 13% and 79%. Lubricants, a common treatment, do not eliminate the cause nor reduce the anxiety associated with this condition. Manual therapy (MT), the primary therapeutic choice in physiotherapy, is clinically proven to be effective, although it is also slow and painful.
