Abstract: In this workshop the entire circle from injury prevention over sportspecific rehabilitation towards return to sports is discussed. In particular the following questions are addressed: 1 What are the risk-factors for overuse shoulder injuries, and are injury prevention programs effective for preventing future injury? 2 What are the keypoints in the sportspecific rehabilitation of the overhead athlete? 3 How do we decide whether the athlete is ready to return-to-play? In addition to the scientific rationale for exercise choice, many examples of exercises are demonstrated with the use of video material.
Abstract : En este taller se aborda el círculo completo que va desde la prevención de lesiones hasta la rehabilitación específica del deporte, pasando por el retorno a la práctica deportiva. En particular, se abordarán las siguientes cuestiones: 1 ¿Cuáles son los factores de riesgo de las lesiones de hombro por sobrecarga y son eficaces los programas de prevención de lesiones para evitar futuras lesiones? 2 ¿Cuáles son los puntos clave en la rehabilitación deportiva específica del atleta con sobrecarga? 3 ¿Cómo decidimos si el deportista está preparado para volver a jugar? Además de la justificación científica para la elección de ejercicios, se muestran muchos ejemplos de ejercicios con el uso de material de vídeo.
